Morse's son by his first marriage, Charles Walker Morse, married a granddaughter of Catharine and Arthur, Manette Antill Lansing.

For a while after their marriage, the couple lived at Locust Grove. In this letter, Manette complains about getting sick from having to ride backwards in the carriage when going to church.
