Old Dobbin

All the poems in Moore's book are in the same rhyme scheme except three - the Christmas poem, The Pig and the Rooster to show that he really doesn't mind the anapestic style, and Old Dobbin.

Actually, I like Old Dobbin. I was cutting Moore some slack after reading that poem. That is, until I got deep into my search for the poetry of Henry, and discovered that the style had become so hackneyed by the time Moore used it, that it had become a literary joke.
