great plot line. But no. There was research to do. Because our hero has
unusual eyes. One is blue, the other gray. And the plot hinges on how he
got them.
I didn't know if anyone else would care exactly how the laws of inheritance
work in this case, but I did. I went to the medical books. Then to a
medical library and the journals. The condition is called: Heterochromia.
It may occur as an isolated autosomal dominant trait. There. I had to make
sure the fiction had a firm root in reality. It did. THEN I could go on
with the book.
Oh, Lord of Dishonor won an award from ROMANTIC TIMES for Best Regency Novel
that year. Too bad there wasn't one for best research too. But that would
have been greedy.
