With all the family connections to the law, and their own father a Justice of the Peace, it's not surprising
that three of Henry's four sons became lawyers. The fourth, Charles, became a doctor. Of the daughters, none
flaunted the conventions of the time to become professionals, themselves, but two of the daughters married
lawyers. A third daughter married a minister, and the last two married farmers. It's hard to say which marriage
would have made their father happier.
