Five pounds of raging rainbow trout, all in one fish, were dragged out of the Truckee river yesterday. The catch was made in the Italian riffles near the Maybury bridge. Two other rainbow, each weighing better than two pounds, were also added to the creel of Jack Bell, who made the catches yesterday. He used hellgramites for bait.

It was Herb Hill, and not Jack Bell, who caught the big five-pound rainbow trout in the Truckee river Monday. Not only did Herb catch the five-pounder, but he also hooked a couple of others, each weighing better than two pounds.
