So Sarah Elizabeth's mother's story was told by Sarah's sister Cornelia to all three of Cornelia's daughters: Anne, Nellie, and Mary. Of Sarah's children, William Morse had a daughter Leila (b:1878), whose mother died when she was 2 years old. Leila was raised by Sarah at Locust Grove. Although Leila never married, she did write down the story of her growing up, though Morse didn't figure in the stories much, having died before Leila was born. Leila was an inveterate letter writer through much of her 99 years. Those letters are probably worth tracking through archives.
