love letter

My Dearest,

By the time you have this I'll likely be back, but at the moment I'm in Albert's (Shatzel) office; and as you might suspect I'm writing to you. I love and miss you more than ever and to see you again will be a delight unexpressible. Everything I do and every moment that passes makes me fonder of you than I was the action and instant before. Even as I write this I feel closer to you, almost as if you were in the next room and I could walk in and be with you.

The ad that George and I had in "Sky & Telescope" seems to have aroused some interest. Today I received from my mother a quotation request from the Shell Development Co. for a 12" spherical mirror and cell. This isn't too important in itself, but it has given me a few ideas, i.e., xx ideas, which might turn out to be of no small value. Albert made up the bid on the order charging $800 + for the mirror, $175 for the design of the mounting and $575 for the mounting itself. A total of $1550.00, not bad if we get it!

Enclosed is a clipping from the newspaper that Albert brought in. You see, I can't stay out of trouble. I guess I need someone to watch me - like you.

I love you deeply and oh! how I miss you. Albert just walked in. I wish you had.

All My Love,
Richie
