'SILVERY MOON' REVIEWS

Romantic Times

Continuing the tale of the Dylan brothers that began in The Gilded Cage, Ms. Layton spins a charming tale that moves from the New York theaters to the rough and tumble Colorado mining camps.

Colorful and fast-paced, The Silvery Moon is a charming tale with serious overtones. Ms. Layton's obvious respect for the era, her love of the stage, and her concern for women's rights all come to the fore in this engrossing romance. Her sensitive handling of Hannah's physical and emotional problems enhance the story, as do her delightful characters: roguish Kyle, sweet Peggy, and an assortment of characters from The Gilded Cage.
