Pat's Texas Hash|
|1-2||tablespoons||fat or oil|
|1||large||onion, sliced in thin rings|
Cook rice. Saute meat, onion and pepper in skillet in hot fat, until crumbly.
Be careful not to burn. Add can tomatoes and chili powder. Mix with rice
in greased casserole and bake 1/2-1 hour (until moist but not bubbly) at 350
Serve with tossed salad and hot/cold tea.
(Good Sunday Go To Meeting dinner dish! I never brought a rice kernel home!
Interesting note: Those who ate the most were the men whose wives insisted
they did not like casseroles!)
