A Mouse in Henry Livingston's House

What Don was looking for was an indication that Clement Moore had not used as his source the poem that had come out of Moore's house and been published in 1823 but, rather, one of the later versions of the poem that had come out before Moore published the poem as his own in 1844.

For this reason, I had to be extremely careful in transcribing, since the differences might be very subtle. I needed access to original versions of the poem, rather than to later publications which might, themselves, have been edited.
