HOLY FATHER, Lord of heaven and earth, our judge, our lawgiver, and our king, thou art just in turning sinful man to destruction, and saying to the guilty children of men, dust ye are, and unto dust shall ye return. Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments! The graves are ready for us; we have the sentence of death in ourselves; and we know thou wilt bring us to death. But O God of salvation, let us not die in our sins; enter not into judgement with us, and suffer not the second death to have power on us. There is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared; and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth from all sin. O, for his sake, have mercy upon us, miserable sinners, and save us.

Father of mercies, and God of all comfort, have compassion on the mourners, and let their consolation abound. Revive the spirit of the humble, bind up the broken hearted, and make it to be good for them, that they have been afflicted.

O Lord, teach transgressors thy ways, and let sinners be converted to thee. Quicken those who are dead in trespasses and sins. Give them new hearts, and put a new spirit within them. And let those of us, who have believed through grace, be sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, unto the day of redemption. Increase our faith, give us an assurance of hope, and shed abroad the love of God in our hearts; that we may walk in love, and be rendered meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

Divine Redeemer, King of kings, and Lord of lords, have mercy upon the world which lieth in wickedness. Take to thee thy great power, and reign; that all the ends of the earth may see the salvation of our God. Gather thine elect, destroy the last enemy, and let death be swallowed up in victory.

Hear us, O thou that hearest prayer, and make us to be accepted in the beloved. And, to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, be honour and glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
