Jesus Christ hath abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light. 2 Timothy 1:10     I am, saith the Lord, the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. John 11:25     Thy dead shall live, altogether with my dead body shall they arise. Isaiah 26:19     I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plague; O grave, I will be thy destruction. Hosea 13:14

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But Christ is risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. Christ the first fruits; 1 Corinthians 15:19     afterward they

that are Christ's at his coming. 1 Corinthians 15:23     For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 1 Corinthians 15:25     The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Then cometh the end; 1 Corinthians 15:24     and there shall be time no longer. Revelation 10:6

We look from heaven for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ; who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:20     For the Lord himself, when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe, 2 Thessalonians 1:10     shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16

The heavens shall pass away, the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works
