San Antonio Express, 17 Sep 1931

(By Associated Press)
OKLAHOMA FCITY, Sept. 16.-

Colonel Zack Mulhall, 84, pioneer rancher and showman, was critically ill today at his ranch home near Mulhall, Okla., according to his daughter, Lucille Mulhall.

Col. Zack Miller of the 101 Ranch near Ponca City and children of the pioneer were called to his bedside.

Before the first Oklahoma "run" Colonel Mulhall homesteaded on the site of that town that now bears his name. He was the first Santa Fe livestock commissioner and long has been a leader in the cattle industry. With his daughter he took "Zack and Lucille Mulhall's Wild West Show" on the road and in 1928 played in New York with the 101 Ranch Show to raise money for the milk and ice fund.

His health has been failing for four months.
