BRING OUTLAW HORSES
They Will Be Entered in Cowboy Roundup Here

The San Antonio Light, 27 April 1917

Sixteen of the wildest outlaw horses that probably have ever been seen in San Antonio were brought to the city Thursday night by W. H. Schweers, live stock commission man, who will enter them in the big Cowboy Roundup which will be staged next week on Bowen Island by Miss Lucille Mulhall and her cowboys. The horses are owned by C. E. Manly of Cotulla and have never had a rope around their necks. Homer Wilson of the Mulhall Show accompanied Mr. Schweers to Cotulla after the horses.

With the arrival Wednesday of Col. Zack Mulhall, executive head of the show, the work of getting the big round-up ready was speeded up materially. Large tents are now being erected on Bowen Island, where the wild horses and other untamed stock for the show will be on exhibition.

Among the horses that have arrived for the roundup is Miss Lucille Mulhalls pet horse. "Eddy C," a Kentucky thoroughbred that has never been ridden by any but Miss Mulhall. She broke the horse herself and has kept it for her own use.
