FAMOUS GUNMEN TO WALTON'S AID
Sheboygan Press-Telegram, 21 Sep 1923

(By United Press) Oklahoma City, Okla.-
Famous two-gun men of the Southwest were in Oklahoma City today to back up Gov. J. C. Walton in his fight against the Ku Klux Klan. Among these noticed in the lobbies of local hotels were:

"Buck" Garrett, old time territorial gun man from Ardmore.

"Bill" Ward, companion of Bud Ballow, two-gun man who was killed in a battle with a Texas ranger.

"Uncle Foote" Dillard and his son, "Cub." famous Indian battlers.

Nash Millikan, decorating by Gen. Pershing for extraordinary bravery during the World War.

Zack Mulhall of the famous Mulhall family. His father was a federal marshal and his sister the noted Lucille Mulhall, who made her fame as a rider in wild west shows where Zack exhibited his skill with guns.
[This isn't Zack's son, Zack, who died at three years old. This is really 76 year old Zack, still in his prime, eight years before his death.]

All hold commissions from the governor and all say they are ready to defend him in the last ounce of their strength and loyalty.
