Original Bossie Rapidly Sinking
The Berkeley Daily Gazette, 15 Jan 1908

[By Direct Leased Wire to the Gazette]
St. Louis, Jan. 15.-
Friends here have received words from the Mulhall ranch. Oklahoma, that Miss Lucille Mulhall, who has been seriously ill for several weeks, is rapidly sinking and that the attending physicians have given up hopes.

Miss Mulhall was once prominent in the St. Louis exclusive set and she also achieved fame as the most expert roper of cattle in the country.

She is also an intimate friend of Mrs. Alice Roosevelt-Longworth and she was the original Bossie in the play, "The Texas Steer."
