RIDERLESS HORSE IN RACE

Two Jockeys Thrown in Evening Event

Mildred Mulhall Drives Spirited Pair to a Chariot

Indoor polo, running races, trotting under saddle, and the driving by ten-year-old Mildred Mulhall of Albert De Cernea's spirited harness pair, Fable and Fiction, were the leading features yesterday of the Horse Fair in Madison Square Garden. Little Mildred's appearance in Mr. De Cernea's novel leather chariot was one of the unexpected things of the evening. It came toward the close of the usual harness pair exhibit, in which over a dozen teams made an attractive sight as they circled abut the tan bark.

The low-setting chariot caught the popular fancy, and when Col. Zack Mulhall's youngest daughter ran out of the big gate and leaped up into the chariot she was greeted with generous applause.
