In Memoriam
Carcajou

Daily Maroon - Feb 6, 1929

The Tiger's gone, that best to prey
His passing need cause no dismay.
For sad to say the awful beast
Has made his cruel bloody feast
On many a cherished lay.

On verse libre crude or refined
Oft has the hungry Tiger dined.
And all our free and modern stuff
Has always been a bit too rough
For his straight laced mind.

The Tiger's gone, but he has left
At least a couple hearts bereft
The ladies miss him far away
One word on his fine art we'll say
His touch was very deft.
