BBN Website
BBN website

The BBN site has been completely redesigned to create a unified, smaller corporate image of the company. This has resulted in the loss for the Speech and Languages Department of their own subsite created by InterMedia Enterprises. That site consisted of 37 pages designed to fit within the previous, much larger, BBN corporate site. Navigation through the department subsite took place through 11 color maps, as well as the top and bottom navigation bars.

The purpose of the subsite was to introduce potential employees to the wide range of research being done by BBN. Because these viewers would, most likely, be at universities or at large competing companies, it was assumed that they would have access to very fast Internet connections. This meant that it was actually practical to show some of BBN's research work through 22 digitized videos available in both PC and Macintosh video formats.
